Derick Adu-Gyamfi

Derick Adu-Gyamfi is a barrister and solicitor of the Supreme Court of Ghana and an assistant law reporter at the Council for Law Reporting, an agency of the Attorney General’s Department and also a consultant lawyer at Cq Legal & Consulting located at Labone, Accra. He has an extensive experience in land litigation, commercial practice, corporate practice and criminal practice. Derick has authored Eight (8) books in law, particularly in civil procedure practice. Among them are:

1. Legal Reference Book volumes 1& 2 (Foreword by His Lordship Justice Batu, then a Supervising High Court Judge in Kumasi, Ashanti-Region (2014 & 2015),
   2. Derick on Pleadings in Ghana (2016) (Foreword by His Lordship Justice Anin Yeboah, Chief Justice of the Republic of Ghana),

   8. Law of Defamation, Practice and Procedure in Ghana. (Foreword by His Lordship Justice Amadu Tanko, Justice of the Supreme Court of Ghana.

   Mr. Adu-Gyamfi has also published some articles on different aspects of law including family law, criminal law, civil procedure, constitutional law and Equity on Ghana Law Hub, Dennislaw and Academia.edu
   He is a Member of the Ghana Association of Writers and the legal adviser to the Association as well, Assistant Law Reporter, Ghana Law Reports, Former Research Assistant, Ghana Monthly Judgments (Law Report of the Superior Courts of Ghana) and currently one of the Chief-Editors of the Supreme Court Nuggets (2020) and (2021), a Dennislaw Publication.

   He represented myself in the Supreme Court case of DERICK ADU-GYAMFI v ATTORNEY-GENERAL, in a writ filed on March 2021 to invoke the original jurisdiction of the Supreme Court.
   He serves as an Advisory Board Member, Esoko Ghana Limited.
